I’m currently a Research Fellow at Cologne University. Before coming to Cologne, I held a Wenner-Gren Research Fellowship at Uppsala University. I completed my PhD on the St Andrews/Stirling Philosophy Graduate Programme, where I was a member of the Arché Research Centre. I was supervised by Patrick Greenough and Crispin Wright.
I work primarily on issues in epistemology (both traditional and social), metaethics, and metaphysics. Recently, I have been thinking and writing about the following questions: what justifies belief? Is there only one way for a belief to be justified or are there many? How do moral beliefs fit into our epistemic theories? What is the connection between epistemology and the legal standard of proof? How should we respond to peer disagreement in different domains of inquiry?
